In this transformative renovation, the fusion of transitional and contemporary design takes center stage in St. Catharines, Ontario. Encompassing both the main floor kitchen and full basement, our clients came to us with a desire to create an eco-conscious home, incorporating sustainable materials where possible. The kitchen serves as the heart of the home, featuring clean lines, white cabinetry, and a whimsical backsplash with a thoughtful mix of modern and classic elements. This transitional style seamlessly extends into the basement, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere throughout the entire living space. The basement undergoes a comprehensive transformation, featuring a spa-like bathroom, an efficient laundry room, and an inviting entertainment area—all meticulously designed with sustainability in mind. We were absolutely delighted to work with Megan. Our plan was to completely renovate an outdated and poorly planned kitchen, as well as put an entertainment room, laundry room and bathroom in an unfinished basement. Megan worked closely with us to design a dream kitchen, including sourcing a stunning backsplash that is its centrepiece and a large island that makes it easy for multiple cooks to work together. Our new basement is now a bright, airy and welcoming space. As newcomers to home renovation and design, we relied on Megan to help us with everything from floor plan (like moving a powder room from one side of the kitchen to another, planning a spacious laundry room, and building a furnace utility room) to all design elements, including choosing flooring, cabinet design, door style and paint colours. Megan took the time to get to know our style and preferences and then adeptly guided us through the often-bewildering steps of renovation.
